2011 Contractor Award Winners Announced
The Nevada Contractors Association recently named its award winners.
The 12th annual Contractor of the Year event took place on Tuesday, November 29, inside the Orleans Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.
The luncheon ceremony attracted 300 local business leaders and elected officials including: State Senator Michael Roberson, State Senator Barbara Cegasvske, State Senator Ruben Kihuen, State Senator Mark Manendo, Assemblyman Scott Hammond, Assemblyman Lynn Stewart, Assemblyman Scott Hammond, Assemblyman Steven Brooks, Assemblyman Mark Sherwood, Assemblyman Crescent Hardy, Assemblywoman Debbie Smith, Assemblywoman Dina Neal, Las Vegas Mayor Pro-tem Anthony Stavros, Las Vegas City Councilman Steve Ross, former Henderson City Councilman Steve Kirk, Boulder City Councilman Cam Walker and Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak.

Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman served as master of ceremonies; she was ably assisted by Miss Nevada Alana Lee. The awards are the industry’s highest and most sought after honor, recognizing excellence, safety, leadership, professionalism and innovation in construction.
Yet, the event could only take place thanks to this year's supporters, which include platinum sponsors: Aggregate Industries – SWR; Las Vegas Paving Corp.; Southern Nevada L.E.C.E.T. Thomas Petroleum LLC, meanwhile, was a gold sponsor, while BeneSys Administrators, Sletten Construction of Nevada Inc., Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters and APCO Equipment all provided silver level sponsorships.
